In a nutshell, we want to do our bit. One of the driving factors behind Headfunk is our commitment to the UK. ‘Made for Britain’, doesn’t just apply to how we use and play with Headfunk products, but also links to the land we live in and streets we play on. We have partnered with The Carbon Managers to offset sales of Headfunk products against a tree planting scheme in the UK. So every time you invest in Headfunk you are investing in Britain’s environment.

Why Tree Planting?

Because it makes sense……In the UK only 12% of our land is wooded, compared with an average of 32% in each European country. It’s essential we retain wooded areas to help reduce pollution, generate oxygen, maintain wildlife habitats and improve quality of life.

We have partnered with The Carbon Managers to make a difference, no matter how small, to help the UK. We wanted to ensure all our eco-partners looked after the UK, and in line with this the first project we have chosen to support is Alladale Forest in Northern Scotland. Tree planting is a key part of their vision to return the Highland Glens to their former glory. Over 100,000 trees have already been planted. Only native species are planted; Birch, Rowan and Willow on the river banks and Caledonian Pine on the hill sides.

As part of our dedication to the environment and Britain we are commited to helping Carbon Managers in their efforts to develop Alladale Forest. We have guaranteed to plant 1000 trees in the forest. By purchasing headfunk products you are helping us to fulfill our commitment. For every 100 products sold we will plant a tree on your behalf. This is just the beginning. We will not stop at 1000 trees, so help us plant as many as we can.

Packaging

Headfunk eco packaging The plastic clamshell is old news. At headfunk we try and help reduce our environmental impact on Britain by using as many recyclable materials in our packaging as possible. We use recycled card for our boxes and our inner trays are made of PET which is one of the most eco-friendly plastics available to our designers.
